Brian Walker is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Marshfield, and is responsible for the firm’s legal and compliance activities. Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Brian served in similar capacities for various other registered investment advisers. He has also worked as an attorney with the law firms Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP and Goodwin Procter, LLP, and served as Vice President – Compliance for a broker-dealer subsidiary of BankBoston Corp., as well as a Senior Compliance Examiner for FINRA (formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers).Other than a 7-year stint in Boston from 1992-1999, Brian has lived in the Washington, D.C. area his entire life. He currently lives in the historic “Old Town” section of Alexandria, VA with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. When he is not shuttling his girls to their various after-school activities, sporting events, and live music venues, he can often be found taking long walks along the Potomac River. As an avid fan of the Washington Capitals and the Washington Nationals, Brian has spent countless winter nights at Capital One Arena and summer nights at Nationals Park. The memories of the victory parades from 2018 (Capitals) and 2019 (Nationals) are beginning to fade, but, as he says, there is always next year…
