David Stevens

Director of Investment Operations

David joined Marshfield in 2022 as Director of Investment Operations. He came to us as a proven leader with over 20 years of operations experience at firms including Advent Software, ICMA, Calvert Investments, Citibank, and Bank of New York. David’s specialty is developing and managing efficient trading, operations, and technology teams in firms of all different sizes. 

David grew up in Vermont, making him a connoisseur of skiing, maple syrup, and cheese. He loves trying new foods and wines and enjoys exploring farmers’ markets and the many museums DC has to offer during his downtime.

David is a coach for the many sports in which his son is engaged, including baseball (his favorite), soccer, basketball, golf, and tennis. You may have also seen David in the movie We Have Met the Enemy, a documentary about Oliver Perry, an admiral during the War of 1812. David spent some time working as a tour guide on a reconstructed ship originally built in 1775 for the Mackinac Island State Historic Parks. The vessel was operational and was featured in the documentary, where David had a non-speaking role as part of the crew.
